Commissionerate of municipal administration based on the rapid increase in the economic and industrial activities, population growth, varied opportunities in the non-agricultural growth and the resultant rapid growth in the transportation sector has appointed consultants to prepare a detail study report for improvements to the existing bus stands.
The study report will also include preparation of common type design drawings for various class-wise categorization of bus stands.
The objective of the assignment is:
• Identify the existing facilities of all the bus stands with the help of CMA and identify the gaps in each bus stand by comparing the existing status with accepted standards.
• Formulate strengthening required in each of the bus stations
• Create model / typical designs for two bus stations in each of the following classes as per the requirements of Motor Vehicles Act and International standards: Special Class (150 Bus Bays), Class A (50 Bus Bays), Class B (25 Bus Bays), Class C (10 Bus Bays) and Class D (nil Bus Bays)
Approach
• Survey of existing Bus Stands Infrastructure facilities available.
• Identification of proposed development activities to be taken up in the DPR.
• Preparation of Interim report covering the relevant information obtained after Site study.
• Preparation of conceptual proposal, for Bus Stations.
