Green Homes
PCA Green Homes focuses on creating climate-responsive, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible living spaces that enhance occupant comfort and reduce ecological impact. The design approach integrates passive planning strategies, sustainable materials, and efficient resource management systems to achieve long-term sustainability.
Key Design Strategies:
• Climate responsive orientation & cross ventilation
• Maximum natural daylight with reduced heat gain
• Use of sustainable materials like AAC blocks, fly ash bricks, terracotta, and low VOC finishes
• Energy-efficient systems including solar panels, LED lighting, and efficient HVAC
• Rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling systems
• Native landscaping and permeable outdoor surfaces
• Healthy indoor environments with natural ventilation and thermal comfort
• Focus on low carbon footprint and IGBC/GRIHA green building principles
• Use of cavity walls to minimize heat absorption through wall
